One of my dreams for when I own my own home is to create my own private library.
I know that while I may work every day in a library, having one in my own house would never be boring, and I’d never tire of it. I actually follow a blog entitled Bookshelf Porn, which shows pictures of the libraries people have created for themselves in their own homes. One of my favourites actually belongs to writer Holly Black. Photos seen below were taken from the Steampunk Home blog.
Holly’s library actually has a secret doorway, which is hidden behind a bookcase. If you know where to push, it opens into a beautiful wooden library, complete with fireplace, comfortable Victorian furniture, and of course, thousands of books. It’s gorgeous an I’m jealous of it.
